Semi-Pro Team 4-0
The Semi-Pro Team had a 4 game festival at Marple Sports Arena against the Keystone Division (PA). Before the event 4 Minor guys (Logan Cain, Bryan Arroyo, Brian DaPonte, and Kyle Dimascio (G)) got the call up for the games for the weekend.
We opened the season against one of the top 2 teams in the Atlantic Division from last years season, the Hershey Typhoon, which was a back and forth battle all game. Impact went up 2-1 after the first. With just about 2min 30secs left in the 2nd period Impact went ahead 3-1. Hershey struck back with 1:09 left in the game (3-2) but ultimately that was it, as Impact scored with 30 secs left to put them up 4-2 and secure the 1st win of the season.
The 2nd game of the day they played the Susquehanna Scream and went up 7-1 after the first and finished the game 11-1. The 3rd game of the day Impact played against Mt Pleasant Inferno. After the first period it was 4-0 Impact. Impact continued their dominance and ended the game with a 9-0 win.
The last game of the day was the closest of the weekend. There was a bunch of chirping right when the puck dropped which was answered with a lot of physical play on both teams. The game went back and forth Impact up 2-1 after the first period. Shockwave answered back with a short handed goal to tie the game at 2. Impact would go on scoring and Shockwave answering right back with 3mins 29secs left in the 2nd to make a 3-3 game. With about 41 secs left Paul Masem beat a man on the boards to come out with the puck and made a power move in front of the net to score the game winner (4-3).
Impact currently sits in 4th place in the Northeast Division with 8 points. The have scored 28 goals for, 6 goals against with a Goal Differential of +22. They play their next games on Feb 12th against the 1st place LI Aces, 5th place WT Flamingoes and the 6th place LI RR Blazers.
