PIHA Opening Games!!
The East Coast begins the 2017-2018 Professional Inline Hockey Association (PIHA) season this Saturday September 23rd, 2017 at Midnight vs. North Arlington Grizzlies. North Arlington Grizzlies (5th rank team last season) and also playing at 1:20am against the the newly formed 2nd Grizzlie team. With the East Coast Impact team new to the PIHA League, we are looking for our 1st win in franchise history for the PIHA division.
The East Coast Impact team did pretty well over the 2017 Tourament Season. Over the summer the team worked to fill some spots with some new talent to bring a competitive team to the PIHA League. Old faces returning to the team, John Ninivaggi (Cpt), Phil Russo (A), Craig Zecca, James Kelly, Paul Masem (A), John Tobin, John Wagner, Nick Dimasi, and Bryan Lees. Rounding it out with the goaltending Dan Peterson and Joe Santiago. New faces to the Impact team; Pat Rosa, Chris Culot, Alex Parisi, Stevie Giardelli and Joey Petrizzo will bring some more depth to the team. The Impact annouced their head coach will be none other then Mike Salvato, who use to coach in the NAYRL League and brings tons of knowledge to the team and great strategies for winning games.
With only a 2 days away, the team is having a practice Friday night before the games on Saturday night to work out all the kinks. The East Coast Impact should have a good idea what to expect for this coming season after the 2 games this weekend.
